🍎 NEW TEACHER FEATURE | Rachel Turdo is our new FACS teacher at East Middle School! Ms. Turdo is a Vestal graduate, and continued her education at Cazenovia College & Queens College. She's always wanted to be a teacher and says she loves the FACS curriculum because it teaches skills her students will use for the rest of their lives. Ms. Turdo also has a background in graphic design and is looking forward to incorporating those skills into her lessons! Welcome, Rachel! #BPatriotProud
🔔 | The iconic Liberty Bell replica is passing from BHS and will be stowed in Owego! Students from Binghamton North High School built the bell from wood, layer by layer, in Mr. Vanca's Shop class in the mid-70s. It processed down Main Street as part of the USA's Bicentennial celebration in 1976, and has sat on display at Binghamton High School since the combined school opened in 1982. The inside is signed by students who built it, as well as other Binghamton alumni from over the years. Due to renovations in the area where the bell was displayed, it is being transferred to Owego where it will be on display at the Tioga County Courthouse! #BPatriotProud

🍎 NEW TEACHER FEATURE | Another Alumni Alert! Angeline McGowan graduated from BHS and is now a 3rd grade teacher at Theodore Roosevelt. She says she loved her time as a Binghamton student, so she wanted to come back "home" to make a difference in the lives of our current students. Mrs. McGowan says her favorite thing about teaching is creating fun moments & memories that students will go home and share with their families.
