She has been a student leader at BHS, serving as president of Science Olympiad & Science Honor Society, co-president of National Honor Society, president of Mathletes & Math Honor Society, and captain of the Tennis team. She also participated in Mock Trial & Lacrosse and volunteered with the local Armenian-American community. 3️⃣ | Graduating third in Binghamton High School's Class of 2026 is Miranda Chiguma! Miranda is headed to Harvard in the fall to study government & computer science. She kept very busy during her time at BHS: she was the founder of Advocates for Educational Equality, and was a member of Student Government, National Honor Society, Sisterz 4 Sisters, Orchestra, Band, and Tri-M Music Honor Society. Miranda also volunteered at the Prom Dress Fashion Show, Thanksgiving Community Dinner, Noah Farley Run, Binghamton High School Distinguished Graduates' Dinner, & worked on a local political campaign. 😮 THROWBACK THURSDAY | You've just traveled back in time 115 years to see the predecessor to Thomas Jefferson Elementary! The Helen Street School stood right next door to the location of the current building. The old school was abandoned in 1916; Thomas Jefferson was formally dedicated in May of 1917. #BPatriotProud

4️⃣ | Graduating at Number 4 in the Class of 2026 is Eva DiNunzio Welch! In addition to her tremendous success in the classroom, Eva is also a decorated athlete outside of it. She is a two-time Section IV champion in indoor track & this spring became the first girls runner in school history to win three individual track & field Sectional titles! Eva plans to run at Division I Lehigh University in the fall where she will study chemical engineering. She encourages future BHS students to get involved in as many activities at school as possible.
