About the Binghamton City School District
Binghamton City School District is the largest public school in the central Southern Tier of New York State. Our diverse population represents more than 49 countries and our families speak more than 30 native languages.
Binghamton High School is a fully accredited World International Baccalaureate School. Elementary students can choose to take part in Challenge Enrichment Program, which extends the classroom curriculum using conceptual themes, various media, and project-based learning. Students can begin playing a musical instrument starting in third grade, and may participate in athletic programs in seventh grade. Student government/ambassador programs are offered at all levels.
More than 100 courses are offered at Binghamton High School and Career and Technical Pathways are offered in Business, Accounting and Culinary Arts. Binghamton High School is home to the internationally acclaimed Rod Serling School of Fine Arts.
Students can choose from over 50 extracurricular opportunities. The District partners with numerous community leaders and organizations to facilitate cutting edge educational research and state of the art practices in the classroom.
