On December 6, valued members of our community at the First Ward Senior Center learned more about the proposed capital project for Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School.

Ahead of the vote on December 10, Binghamton City School District Superintendent Dr. Tonia Thompson stopped by the senior center to present an overview of the project to around two dozen people in attendance. The district reached out to the senior center to provide this valuable opportunity in order to foster community engagement and awareness of the project. The event also provided a chance for attendees to share their thoughts.

Many senior center members expressed their appreciation for being included in the planning process and highlighted the importance of investing in education for future generations.
