A Binghamton High School senior has been selected to receive a college scholarship as a massive boost to her dream of becoming an environmental engineer.
Ariana Blake was one of nearly 21,000 applicants to the Quest Bridge National Match Scholarship, which awards full, four-year scholarships provided by colleges and universities. Ariana was one of 2,242 students across the nation selected to receive one of these scholarships.
With this scholarship, Ariana will go to Northwestern University to major in Environmental Engineering.
"I am beyond excited. Paying for college was a concern for me, but now I can enjoy my education without the burden of finances,” Ariana notes. “Northwestern was the first school that I wanted to go to when I was a freshman so this is a dream come true for me.”
Not only is Ariana a captain of Mock Trial, Co-President of National Honor Society, and a member of Competitive Dance, she was also on the Binghamton High School team that won first place at the Broome-Tioga BOCES Engineering Days.
Congratulations Ariana!
