Some civics-minded students worked to help other students get involved by hosting Binghamton High School’s first-ever voter registration drive on September 19!
BHS Future Business Leaders of America along with Visions Federal Credit Union Ambassadors canvassed the cafeteria during the lunch to encourage BHS students who are 18 years of age or older to register to vote.
In total, almost a dozen students registered to vote, but how-to-register information was handed out to many other students who are not yet 18 years old, so that they may make it a priority when they are eligible. Mini copies of the United States Constitution were also handed out so students can know their rights.
