One family, three incredibly deserving alumni. We are Patriot proud to highlight the Qayyum siblings!
Alaina, Farhan, and Hira Qayyum graduated from Binghamton High School in 2009, 2010 and 2014, respectively. Since then, they've gone on to become doctors and financial experts.
Eldest Dr. Alaina Qayyum is a neurovascular specialist at Albany Medical Center, taking care of patients that suffer from a variety of neurological diseases and various stroke syndromes. She's also a new mom!
Dr. Farhan Qayyum is a hospitalist physician at St. Peters Health System, taking care of hundreds of admitted patients and working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The baby of the family, Hira M Qayyum, is a senior financial analyst at BAE Systems.
"My siblings and I have been a big part of the BCSD family growing up, and have always been proud Patriots," Alaina Qayyum, said. "Whether it was the Danielle 5K Run, Dollars for Scholars or the 100 book challenge, a Qayyum sibling always sought to be involved."
In addition to the strong start they got in the Binghamton City School District, the Qayyum siblings credit their success to their amazing parents, Mazhar and Farida Qayyum.
