Two Binghamton graduates are now heading up the sports department at local television station, Fox 40.

Dylan Kuhn, a 2014 Binghamton High School graduate, is Fox 40's new Sports Director. Before attending BHS, Kuhn went to Coolidge and East Middle School. Kuhn said his love for sports began in Binghamton, playing football and lacrosse.

"Even in elementary school, sports were my whole life. I can't think of any better way to make a living than talking about sports," Kuhn said. "I'm so proud to be from Binghamton, and it's very special to get to cover sports in the area where I grew up."

Austin Tanner, from the Class of 2013, is the station's Weekend Sports Anchor. Tanner was also a student athlete, playing soccer, golf and tennis at BHS. Tanner went to Jefferson and West prior to attending the high school.

"The district did a fantastic job preparing us for this opportunity. All of our teachers and coaches are very professional in their fields," Tanner said. "In addition to playing sports, I got to take engineering classes and participate in the IB Program. It was really great preparation for college, and my career."

Kuhn and Tanner, who are both SUNY Oswego graduates, are excited to be covering sports in the area where they grew up. We are Patriot Proud of their accomplishments!
