Thoughtexchange about re-opening schools

We want to hear from you!!
Posted on 06/12/2020
As we conclude the 2019-2020 school year, we are looking to define what school will look like for all this fall. We want nothing more than to return, but this desire is only surpassed by the need for this to happen with the safety, health and welfare of our faculty, staff and students as the top priority. Districts around the state are being required to develop re-opening plans that align to a set of guidelines yet to be issued from the NYS Governor's Office.

The purpose of this ThoughtExchange is to gather feedback from parents and guardians on their experience with home learning and to assist the district in designing a plan to re-open school. This information is essential to better understanding the impact closing our facilities had on families and how we can support families under similar circumstances, if needed, in the future.

Here are some details about the process:

1) Your participation is confidential. Identifying information is not required nor collected.
2) Please be polite and respectful as you share and rate thoughts.
3) You do not need to rate all thoughts in this exchange. It is recommended to rate about 30 thoughts during the period of time that the exchange is open. A 5 star rating indicates agreement with the statement. You can check back in as often as you like during the exchange window.
4) The link to this ThoughtExchange will remain open from Wednesday, June 10th through Tuesday, June 16th.

A report will be created and posted to the district web-site that shares a summary of the exchange and additional steps the district can take to address your concerns.

Thank you for taking the time to participate! We value your voice!!
