Students sent letters to local businesses asking for money to cover the cost of a charter bus, which was $500. Thanks to Binghamton Rumble Ponies Owner John Hughes, that dream of going to Cooperstown is now a reality.
Friday, Hughes surprised students with a check for $500.
The students will be heading to the Farmer's Museum and the Fenimore Arts Museum in Cooperstown on May 16.
The Binghamton Police Department, Bates Troy and Citrea Restaurant and Bar have also donated money. Watch the story on WBNG.
