The Binghamton School District is expanding its’ One to One Initiative to provide Google Chromebook computers to all students in grades two through 12 by the end of next year.

“Considering how our technology is evolving most of our generation is going to be probably mostly digital,” said Christina Beacham, a ninth grade student at Binghamton High School.

That’s the whole idea behind the Binghamton City School District’s One to One initiative.

“It began in 2017 with fifth and sixth grade students and we now have third through tenth grade students each with an individual chrome book and the ninth and tenth graders can take them home,” said Erin Thompson-Miller, Director of Education Technology and Innovation for the Binghamton School District.
